evening balloon ride for someone!

balloon flew over campground in early evening

The shop looked at my coach soon after 8 AM and quickly found out that there is no problem with the slide but with the coach. I already knew that and explained that I was told this shop could jack up the coach and install supports where needed to keep the back end up where it belongs. But they told and showed me where key metal chassis areas were rusted and near to being weak enough to break. The fixes are too much for them and suggested I call Fleetwood.

I did that. They wanted me to send pictures of the symptoms and they would send me an estimate of repair costs. I didn't know what to take pictures of and said that the call a few days ago would have resulted in me taking the coach directly to Decatur, IN but I asked for a place closer to where I was. The representative will talk to others and get back to me, probably tomorrow.

I talked to John and Liz, who had stayed here one summer, and thanks to them, I am staying for a week in Dakotah Meadows RV Park, next to Mystic Rivers Casino. The campground is part of the complex and they provide free shuttles to and from the casino. I'm too despondent to go to the casino or discover what's in this area. I need time to think about what I am going to do.

The campground is having a giveaway of things in July and I won a big fat coffee mug today! woohoo! It doesn't fit into the cup holder, so it's of no use to me, but I did win something!
