We left Barra de Navidad as planned on April 2nd, for a quick motor sail over to Tenacatita.

There were much fewer boats in the bay then when we were here just before Christmas. In December, there were around 30 boats anchored in the Bay. When we arrived this time, there were 9 or 10, and it reduced from there throughout the week we spent in the bay. One day, we were one of only 2 boats!

We spent the first few days chilling out. We took a walk that we had heard about from another cruiser, basically a long walk on a dirt road to the next beach over via some headlands with views.

We also walked the beach near our anchorage to the all inclusive resort and back -- not a very far walk. We of course didn't actually go to the resort, just the beach in front of it. It has quieted down quite a bit now that Easter week is over.

On April 7th, we took the mother ship accross the bay to the small town of La Manzanilla for provisions. We also took a walk through the town and looked at their local crocodile lagoon. There were 15 or so visible, although someone there said there about 50. They are big -- a great place to get a close look!

For our 16th wedding anniversary on April 8th, we took the jungle mangrove dinghy trip to the next beach over. We spent most of the afternoon hanging out on a beachfront palapa restaurant enjoying good food (shrimp), margaritas, and tequila. We eventually got around to doing a beach walk before heading back. Hopefully the pictures of the lagoon ride are not redundant of the ones we posted in December.
