On the road by 7:00 to make up for lost time. Drove for 8 ½ hours. There was lots of construction in Georgia, but that wasn’t half as bad as the roads in South Carolina. They were so torn up it was like a patchwork quilt! No construction going on here, but maybe there should have been! We pulled up at Victoria & Ron’s house in Rocky Mount, NC at 3:30 PM and the kids rushed out to greet us! Only a quick hug though . . . they seemed more excited to see Saint than us! Russell’s parents and sister, Katherine, joined us for a North Carolina BBQ dinner and it was nice all being together.

We finally get to see Mommy and Daddy today!!!! I was excited all day. Mom and Dad weren’t coming to Aunt Victoria and Uncle Ron’s house until around 4 o’clock so we did a bunch of stuff before that. First, we visited Aunt Victoria and Uncle Ron’s studio. Aunt Victoria is a weaver and she has a bunch of weaving in the studio. She also has a couple looms to weave on in there. Uncle Ron is a professional photographer and the studio is where he takes most of his pictures. Then, we all went to the Rocky Mount Arts Center. They have a beautiful pottery display there. Some of the pottery is huge!!! My favorite part of the arts center is the kid’s area. It has a little stage and costumes so you can put on shows. Ryan and I put on two awesome shows. First, we did Cinderella. I was Cinderella and Ryan was Prince Charming, the fairy godmother, the ugly stepsister, a mouse, and the prince’s assistant. It was hilarious!!! Then, we put on a showing of The Little Mermaid. It was fantastic. Ryan was Prince Eric, Sebastian, Ursula, and King Trident. I played Ariel, Flounder, and Ursula. It was loads of fun!!! After that we went to get some lunch at The Hotdog Stand. I got a cheeseburger (how ironic!!!). When we got back we waited for about an hour until Mommy and Daddy finally arrived. I ran right out to greet them and Saint. When they all came inside, except Saint because of Aunt Victoria’s dog, Duke, we talked until it was time to eat. Aunt Katherine joined us for dinner. We had a yummy barbeque. It was a fantastic day!!!
