July 10, 2009 camped over

Today we went into Cavendish to visit Avonlea Village of Anne of Green Gables which is where they have recreated the life of Anne, it was a book written by Lucy Maud Montgomery, it consisted of a school house, church, general store, fishing shanty where they had musical entertainment they we really enjoyed, we took a wagon ride, and they had skits throughout the day that included Anne, and they had quite a few animals on the farm, we had lunch in the Tea Room, Buddy had meat pie which was filled with beef, turkey and pork and he had potato salad for a side, I had fishcake, brown beans and homemade bread it was all very good. We spent about 4 hours there. Then we drove into the town of Cavendish and as it was the first night of the big music festival the traffic was starting to build up and there really wasn’t much there so we decided to head back to the trailer. Weather today was warm and sunny low 80’s, yes I said 80.
