June 30th: Mary and I left home at 7 AM, we drove for 7 hours and 20 minutes to the Oh Ridge campground in June Lake, CA, a total of 296 miles. We took it easy the rest of the day after meeting our friends the Stewart's and their entourage of family and friends who also joined us.

July 1st: A very large "dust devil" (mini tornado) surprised us and damaged two of the three trailers in our group that had their shade awnings out. Mary and I luckily hadn't put ours out. It is really beautiful here at an elevation of about 7500 feet, sunny and dry 12% humidity and about 80 degrees during the day. It cools down to about 43 degrees at night---good sleeping temperature we had to throw on a down comforter last night!

July 2nd: We changed campsites because we could only get 2 days reservations next to our friends since it was the July 4th weekend and we made reservations late. We moved to the one we will be at until July 11th with a GREAT view of the lake from our back window and our campsite. We are 1 loop away from our friends so not to far to go visit. We had a communal dinner and Mary the "campfire queen" tended the campfire as we all made S-Mores with Reeses Peanut butter cups instead of Hershey's chocolate. They have become a favorite of us campers.

July 3rd: We drove to Saddlebag Lake on the way in to Yosemite Nat'l Park for a day of fishing. Final fish score: Stewart clan 10 - Charlie 0! There will be many more days to land those Rainbow Trout.
