A store to die for !!

A typical area saying

Men at work on their camper

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!! Crossing the US ,as we have, has opened our eyes to freedoms taken for granted, relishing our home area, and being thankful for what we have done for ourselves. For you all this has been a realization of what is possible. Many of you know Corky has been involved in hydroplane boat racing since the early '70's. It has been both pleasurable and addictive to him. An eleven month absence has made his heart grow fonder. Mid-July we'll be in Waterford, Mi. for a much anticipated boat race experience. Competition, camaraderie, and good eats make for a fun boat race. Boating families travel +/-1,000 plus miles for a week-end of fun. Yes, we're all crazy!! Right now we're "sitting" comfortably on the RV service lot. I think I mentioned it began with a necessary tweaks but grew into the discovery of a potential problem. For us it is fortunate to be a factory issue. What better place to be-close to the factory! They are taking very good care of us. An unexpected perk is having other RV'ers coming and going. I snapped a picture of "the boys" checking out something together. A glimpse into our lives lets you know as many aspects of our lives as possible. The benefits of being close to a city are two sided - returning to reality and spending too much money! New million dollar shoes for me, upgrading the Verizon card, frequenting the eateries, and doing routine cleaning/maintenance on the truck and camper. We'll be staying in to- day accomplishing the latter, some chicken on the grill, and watching the Nascar race. Finally, I captured a few pictures without being disrespectful of the Amish/Mennonite code. Some places just need to be experienced; words don't do them justice; as was the Yoder Meat and Cheese Store. Our Canadian friends will know what I'm saying next...Pea meal bacon!!!! The prices are out of this world-it makes you just want to buy a chest freezer and fill up!! Glad we have the double frig/freezer. Weather paranoia has enveloped us. Since leaving southwestern Arizona, something unusual about the weather systems has happened in each area. Watching the weather map tells our home area is true to form-heat and humidity. We're not looking forward to the humidity; however, we are looking forward to seeing our family and friends.
