Tubing in the RiverJul 2, 2009

| <Sammy: Today Granddaddy made us some delicious french toast. He also made some homemade fruit jelly that tasted great on the french toast. After breakfast Granddaddy took us to buy some tubes so we could float a little ways down the river. I got a pretty pink tube!!! Like the day before, the water was really cold at the river, but I got used to it quicker than yesterday. The water was a little shallow to tube in, but we made it work. There were two other kids tubing there too. After tubing, we were worn out and hungry. That night for dinner, Grandmommie made us some steak, potatoes, corn, and rolls. I put some jelly for that morning on the rolls and man was it good!!! After I helped Granddady with the dishes, we continued playing our ongoing Monopoly game. All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good day!!! Ryan: Today for breakfast Granddaddy made some yummy french toast and as a side dish he made some awesome fruity jelly. When we were finished with breakfast, we went downtown to buy some tubes that we could float in the river in. When we got to the river, Granddaddy stood in one part while we walked about 200 feet and got in our tubes and started to float down. Halfway through, the water started to get a little shallow for our tubes. So, we had to push our tubes through some parts. After our awesome tubing trip, we got home and had some meat, potatoes, and much more for dinner. Afterwards, we played a little bit of Monopoly and sadly our day was over!!!! |
