| We made it to Spokane (Eastern Washington)on Saturday, June 20th. It's been a year since my dad died and it filled me with peace to know that since I couldn't spend Father's Day with him, my Uncle Don was certainly the next best thing...of course he'd tell you HE is and always WILL be THE BEST THING!! This trip was made even more special by the fact that my favorite cousin Linda(sister,really), her husband Brad and two sons (Jay and Mark)were visiting from Seattle. We all spent the weekend laughing, cooking, eating and visiting. One of the highlights was taking a long walk through Manito Gardens, watching Len chew, gasp and spit out mint leaves and smelling the different flowers. We also got to visit with my cousin Steve, his wife Julie and kids...how I missed this photo op is beyond me (sorry guys!). I even got to spend a half hour talking to my cousin Paul on the phone Sunday night. The three days just flew by and it was on to Seattle, Kirkland and Bellingham (Western Washington). |
