| It’s 5:30 AM, Marbie is up, I’m wishing I had a couple more hours to sleep, but still have to shower and pack my suitcase. Our ride to the airport is at 7:30. At 7:00 I’m ready to go and wander down to the breakfast room for some coffee and croissants. Marbs has already had breakfast and is out looking for ‘real’ coffee again. We’re waiting in the lobby, bags ready to go. The desk clerk tells us about how Carol’s taxi didn’t come and they called another and finally 25 minutes later she had a taxi to the train station. She still got there in time for her train back to London. Our ride is on time, we load up and off to the airport. I could hardly wait to get on the plane and fall asleep. I’m so tired. Flight takes off from CDG – Paris at 10:35 AM, a movie, two meals, 3 hours of sleep and 10 ½ hours later, we touchdown in Seattle. Get through Immigration and Customs, get our bags and meet our driver and we’re off to my house. Rick is waiting at the front door and comes out to meet us. Marbs and I try our darnedest to stay awake until that evening. We manage to make it to 8:30. |
