We all had to fuel up before leaving Fairbanks. Sometimes that can be a tricky thing trying to get these rigs into a service station and not hit anything. After getting fuel, we all met up at the Safeway, picked up a few last minute items in the store and started on our trip to Denali National Park.
Thankfully, the road was in good shape. There was sections where it was almost like riding on a roller coaster, but not to bad. We did get some good views of the Alaska Mountain Range as we traveled. The Alaska Mountain Range is where Denali is located and where Mt. McKinley, the tallest mountain in N. America is located. They tell us you have a 25% change of seeing Mt. McKinley when you travel into the park. You cannot drive your vehicle but a small distance into the park. The only way to travel the complete 90 miles is via buses that the park uses.
One of the things this group knows how to do is "Eat". We had another fine meal tonight where Dave and Bill grills some pork and the lady's provided all the fixn's.
