Our Destination - Hinton, AB KOA

Woke up to light showers a cool temps but the drizzle stopped quickly.Shortly after leaving Canmore we entered Banff Park. We saw no more rain after entering Banff but the clouds played peek-a-boo most of the morning before opening up to clear blue skies.

Our first stop was Lake Louise which we spent about 3 hours exploring including a 2.5M RT hike to the far west side of the lake. This is a beautiful Lake with photo shots a every turn of the path on the hike. It happens that the name of glacier at the far west end of the lake is Victoria so Vicki felt that this was a vey special place for her. We must of taken a good 50 pictures during the hike.

After a quick lunch we drove on the Icefields Hiway to Jasper and on to Hinton. We saw lots of wildlife, waterfalls and Glaciers/Icefields. The drive was absolutely spectacular. We decided that we will come back and spend weeks or so just in the 4 Canadian Parks in the area. There is so much to see and the hikes are far too many to explore given that we have such little time to spend in the parks.

the drive from Jasper to Hinton was more of a rolling hills/plains drive with good roads many vistas.
