Whats up you'll
I'm just kicking it here in Nanning awaiting my visa for Vietnam.
The trip form guangzhou on has been a breeze, a quick stop in Wuzhou, and then into the mountains. The Guanxi province, home to Yangshou and Guilin is famous for the Karst limestone topography that give the hills such distinct shapes, but for hours outside of these towns the surrounding areas are filled with similar features, so the bus rides have been sick. But Yangshou is definantly the main attraction, apart from attracting plenty of foreign visitors, chinese tourist fill the streets. This was convenient for me so I hooked up with a local kid from guangdong and a girl from Xiamen and they showed me around. The locals all seem to get a laugh out of watching me eat the spiciest food they have available. They knew mandarin, I knew english and we both knew how to party, and there were plenty of other kids to join in.
Talk to you soon, Steve
