It was so good to wake up to sunshine this morning. We ate breakfast at a cafe called hazel's that was all decked out in beach stuff that was really neat. We then proceeded to Walla Walla, WA. The first picture is of the fields before we got to Walla Walla, they were really pretty all the yellow flowers and there was quite alot of farm land on the rolling hills.
We got to walla Walla and started looking for my cousin Tommy McPherson's gun shop. We pulled into a gas station and I asked the guy if he knew where the gun shop was and he knew exactly who I was talking about and said that Tommy had retired the first of April but that he was down at the shop alot. So we took off to the gun shop and sure enough there was a sign on the door saying that he had retired, but had a phone number on it. So i called the number and got an answering machine. I left my number and then we went to the Honda Shop to get me a new helmet. Even the guy at the Honda shop knew Tommy and his son Freddie and told us all about them. (small town).
We went to Walmart where Donnetta had to get a refill on one of her meds so we killed some time there and then started out toward OR. We rode on the Washington side of the Columbia River then on the OR side crossing over at Briggs. The river is the state line. The wind gust were terrible almost blowing us around especially when we would meet a semi-truck, but the weather was warm and it was a good day for riding. We are 13 miles from the second largest waterfall in the US and we will stop by there tomorrow. Hard to take pictures when the wind is blowing so hard and we are going 70 miles an hour down the road, but the other pics are of the Columbia River.
maybe pics will be better tomorrow.
