(Ron Writing) This morning we continued our loop tour of the White Mountain National Forest. I know it doesn’t look much like a “loop” when you view the map in the journal but that’s just because it only plots the points where we stop for the night, not the actual route we’ve driven.
Today we drove east and southeast on US-302 from Littleton to Glen, NH where we got on NH-16 north and drove back to Gorham, NH. The scenery along 302 was very beautiful. The highlight of the day was the Crawford Notch area. Note that in New Hampshire they call canyons “notches”. We took a few photos so you can see a little of what we saw along this route. We had some high clouds but it was sunny most of the day and the temperatures are in the high 60’s.
We expected we’d get our generator back this afternoon but that didn’t happen. The repair shop received the parts today but didn’t get around to completing the job. The latest estimate is that it will be finished tomorrow morning.
This evening the plumbing under the kitchen sink developed a leak so perhaps I can work on that tomorrow morning while waiting for the generator.
We’re spending another night parked at the Wal*Mart in Gorham.
