We didn’t get further than the parking lot at En Gedi but we did get a chance to see into the canyon and view the waterfall from a distance. En Gedi stands out from the rest of the arid landscape. David hid here in the many caves for 40 months or so. There were several ibex deer that were so tame they came up to you like a deer at Fall Creek Falls. They were definitely used to people being around.
We stopped at the Dead Sea cosmetics factory called Ahava . The women loved the stop and the men graciously tolerated the sidetrack!
