Cave 4 at Qumron

From Qumron looking to the Salt (Dead) Sea

Cave # 4 at Qumron

We were able to explore the Essene community's ruins at Qumron

We stopped at Qumron where the Essenes had their primary communal house. It is also the site of the most important archeological discovery of the 20th Century; the Dead Sea Scrolls. The landscape contrasts that of Galilee so much that you would think you were in another country. But this is the land of Milk (desert) and Honey (farmland).
