As you may recall, I met a Cuban doctor named Andres a few days ago.
Wellllll today he came to visit me in the physio department and took me to this nearby orthopedic hospital. There I met this Cuban woman named Rayze.
She was born in Cuba but moved here 12 years ago and has 2 kids here. She's not allowed to go back to cuba for some weird Fidel reason, and she can't go to the states, so shes stuck.
She also said that she thinks she has a sister in Miami that she was separated from when she was a kid. Unfortunately the last name is Gonzalez, so I'm not sure if I'd actually be able to help her locate her sister...
Overall I had a nice time with her. She invited me to lunch and told me I can volunteer at her clinic (which sees alot more patients). I'm going to see if I can move to her clinic, and that way get more valuable hands on experience.
We shall see what happens!
Anyway, I think I'm going to the Volta River this weekend. I'll make sure to take some good pictures and post them.
Hope you guys are doing well!
miss you!
