Attack #15-Slo in SLO26 May - You could call this encounter the Attack of the Slugs. This was our 2nd attack of the day and we lugged around, and up and down, the streets and hills of this city until we were ready to drop. The downtown shopping area hinted of a Santa Barbara-like atmosphere, only older and much more affordable.
We stopped at Costco on our return trip to camp for chow and encountered several of our comrades there procuring subsistence items for tomorrow’s squadron BBQ/picnic.
Mission Status for day 11 of 16: Completed 14th and 15th of 21 scheduled attacks for a total of 133 miles on the ground and 738 convoy miles.
