| So I'm retyping this because this internet sucks and it deleted what i wrote! Today I went to the Cape Coast Castle. It was interesting but also terrible. It was depressing to think about all the slaves that went through this castle. The conditions were terrible and the dungeons were dark and too small. UP to 1000 people would be in one at a time. After the castle I went to eat nearby. Had myself a "chicken sandwich". This consisted of a bit of I guess grilled chicken, and 2 fat pieces of bread. Although I must say I did enjoy the fries! I get pretty excited about any western foods here. After eating we went to Kakum National Park to spend the night. I basically slept on a platform with a mattress and mosquito net in the middle of the rain forest. I would have enjoyed myself more had the mattress not smelled so nasty... |
