We spent a couple of quick days in Kuala Lumpur. It's a huge city and has the same amazing shopping and unique but world class cuisine that we've come to expect from the big urban centres in Asia. If we were rich, we could have a field day here. Considering that we're not working at the moment, we did some good window shopping and took in the hectic and somewhat extravagant downtown core.

We paid a visit to the Petronas Towers, they are no longer the world's largest towers thanks to taller buildings in Dubai. How the CN Tower plays into this competition we can't be sure - sorry! We arrived first thing in the morning but learned that there is now a daily cap on tickets to ascend the towers. Apparently the day's limit had been reached an hour before we arrived so we took a good look from outside and moved on. We'll climb our own tall building at home!

While there isn't anything overly exceptional about Kuala Lumpur, we enjoyed our return to the fast paced life in the city before heading out to Penang Island to take in some Malaysian culture.
