The morning started with some exercise in the camp...dad took his girls on a training run, getting them prepared to walk the cinque terre. Then they were all back and into the pool clothes and all. After a nice breakfast al fresco it was all hands on deck to clean our poor car, that was brand new once.
We then drove to Aups another local village and another local market, got our fresh fruit and veges and headed to lac du Verdon that is a gorgeous turquoise blue lake in a huge gorge. It was lovely and warm and we sat by the lake. The lake was however freezing, but the kids were brave enough for a dip in. Sadly there was none of the summer lake activities open and operating yet, the kids were keen to go on a pedalo. Thats what we are finding here, we are just a little early yet before the start of the season for a lot of places, however, it is nice there are no crowds.
We came back to the villa to relax by the pool, the children are loving reading their books, and even Jackson has read a whole chapter book!!
Had another lovely dinner at home, barbecue and sat outside till quite late. Kids got their diaries done and off to bed at a reasonable time.
