Living Our Dream travel blog

We had a busy one today. First thing this morning we drove to Wally World to pick up prescriptions which weren’t ready yet as usual. This is a continuing thing for one of JoAnn’s prescriptions but it seems especially so at this particular store. On the way back we picked up our mail at the PO and then went to Safeway some organic fruit as the local Wally World doesn’t carry organic fruits and veggies.

We have been trying to get a prescription for Fillmore for about 3 weeks now. We are using Pet Meds and they have to get an OK from our Vet. Last week we called our Vet and thought we had it straightened out. We had the phone on speaker and JoAnn didn’t hear what Doug heard. To make a long frustrating story shorter, Fillmore doesn’t have his meds, Pet Meds is tired of listening to Doug and we don’t have any idea of what to do from here.

We went to our Naturopath here in Cottonwood and loaded up on herbs and supplements to last us until fall. Then we went to lunch at a little Chinese place we like here in Cottonwood. A brief round of calls to Pet Meds and a short siesta and then we took JoAnn for a massage.

While she was there, Doug went to an auto parts store and bought a bug deflector for the hood of the truck. We have broken so many windshields in the last couple of years that we decided to try a deflector. We are also going to be in buggy climate so maybe our windshield won’t attract as many bugs with the deflector. He also went back to WW to pick up the prescriptions. (and they still weren’t ready)

Tomorrow is a very long day for us: 400 miles. At least it will be on interstate. We intend to leave very early to get a lot of miles behind us before the heat gets unbearable.
