Some hills as we approach Broken Hill

We left Mildura and the Murray river this morning, and travelled along the Silver City highway to Broken Hill.

The towns and locations that we travelled through were: Coomealla, Wentworth, and Coombah, before reaching Broken Hill. We expected to have a driving day of seeing not much at all, then we came upon some goats ....

The day was mostly about travelling past dry land with very little countryside with visible animals, and then we suddenly came upon all of these goats wandering along the side of the road. There was probably an area approx 10km of green grassy land along the verge where the goats were grazing, 145kms south of Broken Hill, and no farmers or sign of any responsible caretakers within cooee, and at least 30 goats in all. They were happy looking and very fat goats and not too close to the road, so looked like they had some road sense too!

We learnt something new today too, that is that Broken Hill goes by SA time even though it is a NSW town, you would expect that it has the same time as Mildura, but no, we had to turn our clocks back to SA time! How about that?

The weather is fine, if you are wondering, 18 degrees (during the day), and Rob has been wearing his t-shirt, shorts and thongs since we left Echuca, even though it wasn't that warm yet.
