The last two days we have been driving to Jacksonville from Pensacola. As we left Pensacola the Blue Angels were just taking off for a practice show. I guess between shows and at home they do practice show flights. Well we have seen them many times before so we decided to take off. It was a nice drive to Tallahassee for the night. We arrived early in the afternoon and set up for the night. Later we drove over to a local gas station and market. As Heidi and I filled the truck Debi went into the store and picked up some roster chicken for dinner.
I was a real short drive to Jacksonville this morning and was nice until we hit the city. Of course we had to cross the Saint John's river so I know Debi was worried. Well if you remember our trip last year going over a little slough well there was an accident over the Saint Johns plus one lane was closed for maintenance. Well it was a slow ride and Debi handled it well but did not like it. Well the rest of the way was a mess trying to find the route to the base. Well we finely arrived and what a spot. It is to bad the hook up are on the left side as I would have parked the camper the other way. This way we could look out the back window and view the bay. But we plan to sit out more and watch the ships pass by. I will try to get more pictures as the days go on.
Our plans here are to go down to Saint Augustine to see the worlds golf hall of fame. We will also plan stopping at some antique shops before returning back for the night. Of course golfing will also be a priority and a stop to the exchange and commissary for the run to Cocoa Beach.
I have posted more PicturesStill having a great time,
george and Debi
