| Miles Today: 0 Day: 4 Total Miles: 703 We went with our traveling companions Don and Alice Faye today to get Alice Faye a blood test. We ended up in Wichata, KS to get it done. Went to the Egg Crate Cafe for lunch. Got to be good with a name like that, well it was. Very good food. Back to Hutchinson where we all went to the building we will be using here for registration. Got that all taken care of so 6 of us decided to play Pegs and Jokers until time for Orientation. There is a Pegs and Jokers tournament on Wed night, so we needed practice. It was men against the women and we played 2 games and each won a game. We will have to have a playoff between us at some point while here. Orientation was short and sweet and then we had entertainment by one of the rally attendee's. Chaz Allen was in Hollywood as a writer and producer. He produced 20/20 and wrote for the show "Murder She Wrote" and some others. He also flew B52's over N. Vietnam. He now is retired and spends his time reading and getting the truth about many different interesting things and he writes columns that are published in newspapers around the country. He was very good and could tell some great stories that are all true. At the end, he got some people from the group, Bonita being one of them, and played a little game called "Did you know that my Uncle Zilby died". It was hilarious. See the pictures of all the participants. Don and Alice Faye ate supper with us. Bonita had cooked spaghetti and then we all talked about getting from Hutchinson, KS to Washington State where we will meet up with Dave and Jan. |
