We slept in this AM, since we didn't get much sleep last night. We have family to visit in Tulsa, so we are headed that way, going north today to Wichita Falls. Unlike Klamath Falls, in Washington, where there are no falls to be found, this place actually has falls. Although they were washed away years ago, they have routed some river and actually made some falls some 50 feet high. I saw them this evening and I will take pics tomorrow of this area and post them.
This trip we farm land, lots and lots of farm land. It make me think of all the valley in Fife where I grew up and the beautiful farm land that is now cement, apts, and businesses. So very sad. But there is farm land here. As far as you can see. And there are a lot of different smells out there also. Sometimes it smelled like sage, with something in it. And the shrubs, and of course the Ole Fields with the Iron Horses, and also a lot of those wind mills for power, and they are huge. So in the middle of the farm land there are all these other things, trying not to disturb the farm land.
We also stopped Abilene at a mall because I needed a couple of things, actually I need a shopping trip. John was patient and came along.
We are camped tonight at the Wichita Bend RV Park. Great little park. It is a city run park, I think. They have electric, water, and a dump site if you need it. They only allow self contained RVs as there are not restrooms. It is well maintained grassy and cement pads and lots of paved paths. There are only 28 sites, so it is small and comfy. The price was right at $17.00. Not cable or wifi but that's OK, I have my verizon so I can get my computer work done. I will post some pics tomorrow of this place it is really cute. Off to bed.

John was up sick alllllllll night long, with the flu, or at least that is what we think it is. So he is sleeping most of the day, and pretty much up and down. Mostly down. I ventured out to get some medicine for him. Mapquest a drug store, but never found that one, but did come across a groc. store by luck. And I remembered how to get back to camp. So it was a good day for me I didn't get too lost. I've caught up on a lot of things here and taken short walks. Didn't want to get too far away from John.
Saturday, April 18,
John slept all night long and was pretty good when he woke up this AM. So we stripped the bedding and took all the laundry to the car. Opened up all the windows to air out the home, and spent the afternoon doing laundry, going to the groc. store.
So I think we are ready to head towards Oklahoma City. Hope to find a good campground there. Attached some pics of the campground here and the park area.
