After breakfast I returned the car to the car hire place and walked back to the villa. Our ferry connection back to Piraeus Port leaves at 12:30 and Sharon the owner has offered to drive us down. There are two ports at Mykonos known as the old port and the new port (very original). Most of the ferries leave from the old port, but I had read about people running frantically between the ports as they realize their boat was going to the other port. Lucky I checked as our boat was leaving from the new port.
We arrived back to Pireaus Port at around 4:30, caught the free bus to the train. caught the train into Athens, made a change on the underground and arrived at the long distance train station. Stowed our bags in some lockers and went for a walk, had dinner and eventually made our way back to the train station. We had booked two sleepers on the 10:55pm train to Thessaloniki in the north of Greece. Train arrived and left on time and we settled in to a night on the train.
