Today we had lunch at Hodes then took the hugest inner tube down to the Mopan river.
The tractor tube attracted a few strange and impressed looks from the locals, as most tubes are from 4wd trucks.
It took us a while and a few blisters to pump it up, then we were ready to jump on.
The Mopan river is in a lovely setting and has fast flowing water in places, local people wash their clothes on the banks and it is a very lively place on a hot day.
Whilst we were there, 3 Americans were filming backdrops for Bizarre Food which should air on the Travel/Discovery channel, so it will be interesting to see if we appear on that!
Tubing was fun as we went over several small rapids, and although my ankle had a few bad scrapes, I emerged alive!
