Noreen & Bob's 2009 Adventures travel blog

Everything passed us, even big trucks.

Hello from our 2nd time at the San Angelo KOA...separated by the two weeks in Killeen and Victoria!! It's just the same, except windier.

The weather service said the winds today would be 25-35 mph, they were. The best we could do...most the time, not up-a-hill...was 50 to 55 mph. We didn't do too badly (?)...3 stops which were 8, 7 & 7 mpg. Trip planner said we'd cover the 350 miles in 6 hours, we made it in 8?

We're staying hitched up tonight for a quick start in the morning to escape Texas and back into New Mexico...regrettably, the winds are supposed to stay high the next 3 days, too :( Compensation is sunshine and 70 degrees...shorts and golf-shirt weather. Ohhhh, but such weather does require one to stay hydrated...something nice spilled over ice always seems to do the trick :)

No pictures today, but I'll add some past ones when I receive some owed emails photos. Hope the daffodils have started to appear?..Bob & Noreen + Ally & Jill.
