Got up early for some great puddle jumping then back into the van we go.
Then came the good part. My sides still hurt from the snickering. …she couldn’t find the maps! She looked everywhere, it was a hoot. Upside, downside, all the cubbies, even my cell (as if I would have them). Finally she gave up and went into the nearest truck stop and bought a new beautiful expensive atlas. Hee, hee, then opened the door and FOUND THE MAPS! Hee, hee, hee, it was such a magical moment for me it almost made up for her dragging me away from that pit bull I had nearly taken down with my Alpha Female side yesterday.
Today, we are back on the road. She has promised me a treat this afternoon. Lets see if the old girl remembers. Next stop?
The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N. Carolina. Drove ALL DAY. Had a hard time finding an RV park but, i appreciate that she didn't pick the bear refuge...which was a possibility till she remembered how much she's invested in this princess. Finally pulled into a KOA that made me feel safer. Thanks dad for the help finding this place.
So after a restful night we rose early and got in line for a saturday at the Biltmore. Most of the time I was stuck in the cell while she went to tour the house. She even took a tour of the roof! Now I would have loved to have seen that. She finally came back in the late afternoon and took me for a look/see. WOW, what a place, 8000 acres for ME to run. Why she keeps this friggin leash on me is beyond comprehension. They even have COWS! I could have wallowed in the manure!!!
We are headed to Jersy tomorrow. That promise's to be a LONG drive. And its still raining.
