|Donna and I were on our drive around the area, went down Topanga Canyon one more time and then Malibu, our thought was a trip to Long Beach to see the Queen Mary, but, driving past the coast in Malibu and taking a few pictures as we went along, we happened to come across the MICHAEL LANDON park, we made what we thought was going to be a quick stop, but after seeing the flowers and the bluffs we stayed for about a hour, thought we would allow the sidewalk to show us a new path.
MICHAEL LANDON is interred in the Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Culver City, California.
He once said, "Whatever you want to do, do it now. There are only so many tomorrows" Hey that kind of fits us here, this "journey", there are only so many tomorrows !
He also said, "I want people to laugh and cry, not just sit and stare at the TV. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I think viewers are hungry for shows in which people say something meaningful".
The flowers are so beautiful, it's appearent that some of the plants have been carefully placed by Park Personnel, other flowers have been placed by nature. We would see batches of yellow and then a few reds. We were met by a large row of hedge flowers in front of the parking lot, the aroma was wonderful, really reminded us that as much who read this have yet to see those first flowers and plant life of Spring. We have been enjoying the Spring foliage for a few weeks now. We are glad that we 'happened' upon this park and we made the stop.
