Marilyn & I are still struggling with the time change.
I did awake at 5:00 AM this morning, got out of bed, slipped on my P.J.’s and went to the living room to try the internet, in an effort to post pictures. It looked good for a few moments and then I was kicked off and was unable to re-connect. Bummer!
I went back to bed and fell asleep again.
When we awoke, it was 8:30 and we knew we should get up and start the day. We almost never sleep this late!
We had our morning coffee with our fireplace and some soft music on the sound system to make the ambience just right.
When I checked the internet again, it seemed to be working just fine, so I went back and edited the journal entries for our trip to Mexico, adding pictures and updating the map.
Please take some time to go back to those journal entries to check out the pictures from our trip.
We also found time to make a run to Wal-Mart for some much needed groceries and a few other supplies.
We have decided to follow Jesse & Ginger’s lead and organize our movies and our music. We purchased two zipper-closed cloth notebooks, each one holding 104 CD or DVD disc’s.
I organized the movie collection first, and managed to throw away a trash bag of DVD holders.
The music collection is next.
We spoke to Jen & Steve this morning. They are enjoying a day together today and we called just to let them know we love them. It is nice to do that once in a while because we are so far away, and we miss them.
Carl & Linda called this morning to let us know how things are going as they move out of their home and become full-time RVers. We are happy for them.
We also had a call from one of our readers in Uvalde, Texas, offering a tour of some warbirds and several other aviation related activities when we get to Brackettville. Thanks, Charlie. We’ll be meeting you soon, and I am looking forward to meeting you as well as going on the tours.
Well, as I sit here writing this journal entry, Marilyn has begun the work on sorting our music CD’s and putting them in a storage case, as I did with the movies. I can already see that we will need to start another trash bag, as the first one was nearly full when I finished.
Wow, are we ever saving some space!
Now, if I can just get my “Dearly Beloved” to continue this downsizing by getting rid of about half of the clothing, we are going to just sail down the highway! Ha!
Note: I usually read my journal entry to Marilyn before posting because she sometimes has some input that I forgot to mention. This time she just commented that getting rid of half the clothing would be no problem as long as it is MY half. Hmmmm.
Our weather outside has been cool and cloudy since we returned from our tour in Mexico, so that has served as a good excuse for us to stay inside and get some of these organization chores completed. It is only 60 degrees outside today, but we should be in the 70’s and 80’s all of next week.
Hey, the sun just came out! The temperature is up to 62 instantly! Great!
I watched Mizzou basketball as they played Baylor University in the title game of the Big 12 Basketball Tourney. It was a good game, and Mizzou won by a score of 73 – 60.
So our day today comes to a quiet close and now we will simply wait for tomorrow to see what adventures are in store…..
