| Our tour today started by bus across the city of Oaxaca to Monte Alban. This Aztec ruin is built on top of a mountain. The Aztecs literally took off the top to make a flat place, then built generations of temples and other structures that look down on Oaxaca. We hiked and climbed quite a bit of the site, and it was really spectacular. In the afternoon, the bus took us into downtown Oaxaca, and we visited several churches , the zocolo and a buffet dinner. The city was full of people enjoying the evening. Some of our members got a bit silly, and we all had a great time. |
