March 12 - Little Rock, AR to Paamul
Today is a travel day. Our children, John and Barb, drove us to the Little Rock airport to return to Paamul via Cancun. We were at the airport in plenty of time for our flight. However, the aircraft had arrived late the previous night and the crew was therefore late as they require appropriate crew rest. This along with our arrival gate being occupied when we got to Atlanta for a change of aircraft, resulted in missed connections. The overall result was positive in our opinion. We had time to sit around and relax a little (after we rushed from one end of the “A” terminal to the far end of the “F” terminal). We made the next Delta flight abut 2 ½ hours later. It wasn't the movie flight, so Sherry didn't get to finish her movie from the flight in, but the flight was not full and we again had an opportunity to relax a little.
We arrived in Cancun around 2:30 pm, caught a shuttle (van) and arrived at our trailer in the Paamul RV park before 5 pm. It sure felt good to “be home.” We dined at the little resturante right at the RV park. It is an open air palappa overlooking the beach and a beautiful sunset. We had a margarita and shared the stuffed fish fillet, a delicious fillet stuffed with shrimp and covered with a cream sauce. We'd highly recommend it. After letting our family know of our safe arrival, we crashed for an early departure the next morning.
