We woke up to a frozen camper inside and out. The ground was covered in a light layer of snow and ice . Crystalized flakes were flying in the air and it was a whopping 4 degrees. We had no water. Everything was frozen , the windows the doors. The wind was blowing 55 + mph. It was crazy. We could barely get out of our door because of the wind. It was bitter cold yet Eric walked over to Cabellas for us to have some coffee. He was frozen when he got back. And to top it off the coffee wasnt even that good. OF COURSE we had to warm it back up again in the microwave. Then to top it off when we left i forgot mine in the micro and yes it was everywhere. Wonderful. When Eric tried to remove the sewer hose it burst into a thousand pieces. Thanks be to God there was a Walmart right across the road so we were able to replace that. Our gauges are evidently all frozen because they are not reading right. The water pump wont pump water its probably frozen as well. But troupers that we are we headed for Cheyenne Wyoming. Got to get out of Nebraska today! lol ...Well bad decision on that one We made it to Cheyene and were on empty after filling up just about an hour and a half earlier. We were headed right into that 55+ mph wind. Our poor Poor Sequoia was battling it out but slowly loosing. We could not get above 55 miles an hour tops and most of the time it was more like 40 giving it all she had. We decided just to give up and stay in Cheyenne although we really had planned to make it to Salt Lake City tonite. We are not letting that get us down tho. We pulled into a truck stop with an internet connection and found a KOA in Cheyenne. It took about an hour of searching for a campground and getting there . First we tried AB Campground but as we finally got there they were closed down...BUST. hey you cant keep good pioneers down right. back on the phones and net and we found this KOA. We are settled in and as you can see PLAYING ON The net. Wish us luck Maybe we will make it by Sat at 3 ....Prayers are good....we accept all prayers....:) The dogs are really being good sports about it all. They travel so well. Java loved the snow and even went with us to grab a quick cache outside of the walmart. (MY IDEA). She has a good time running around looking for the geos. Dont forget to sign the guest book let us know you are with us in spirit. Which as cold as it is even your spirit better dress warm.
