Marilyn is still recovering
Mar 3, 2009
|This was a very routine, relaxing day for me. Marilyn hasn’t been feeling well since we returned from Hannibal. This morning, when we woke up, I asked her how she was feeling and she thought she might be better. She changed her mind shortly after she got up and made coffee.
I left her in bed when I got up a bit after 5:00 AM. I was out the door at 6:45 AM, to walk with Heinz and Richard, who are both from Canada.
We walked about 3 and ½ miles by our estimation. We miss our walking partner, Jesse, and his pedometer.
Back at the RV, I set up the lawn furniture and asked Marilyn if she wanted to sit outdoors to have our morning coffee. She was wearing “Old Shedder” and thought she should stay inside, so we did.
With the coffee gone, I cleaned things up while Marilyn went back to bed. I did the dishes and straightened up the RV, then did the same to myself.
I mainly chilled for the remainder of the day. I grilled some burgers and fixed onions and peas to go with the grilled meat for dinner this evening.
Marilyn’s fever is now gone and she feels better for now. We hope she is OK because we have much to get done before Saturday morning, when we leave for a week in Mexico.
We are taking a tour to see the butterfly sanctuary near Mexico City and are looking forward to visiting some of the beautiful colonial cities in Mexico.
Once we return, our time here at Llano Grande will be short.
We will depart from the valley on March 23rd, to stay one night at Choke Canyon State Park near Three Rivers, Texas.
The next day we will drive the rig up to Kerrville, to stay for the rest of March at Buckhorn Lake RV Resort. Kit & Jerry and more of our rv-dreams family will be there also.
On April 1st we will follow Kit & Jerry down to Brackettville, and stay at their guest site at Fort Clark.
Our stay with these good friends will be only for a few days before we move on west to see Big Bend National Park.
We plan to visit the Alpine, Texas area also, while we are in that neighborhood.
The next area to see is Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, before moving on toward Palo Duro Canyon, close to Amarillo.
Perhaps we will see our friends, Rick & Sherry while we are there.
Once we leave the Palo Duro Canyon area, we will move north and east toward Kansas City.
We’ll make a stop at Liberty RV to have some minor maintenance done and then we will end our springtime journey at the Mark Twain Cave Campground in Hannibal, MO.
So that is our plan for now. Things can always change, but we plan our travels with the knowledge that we are free to do as we please.
We know for sure that we will be anxious to see Jennifer, Steve and Colby, so we’ll not delay much. LOL
The temperature today was in the mid-seventies and the sunshine was tempered by the nice Texas breeze, which kept things very comfortable all day.
So, after another awesome, relaxing day here in the valley, we look forward to whatever adventures tomorrow may have in store….
