We traveled to Cache County. We Learned that Logan is the county seat and that Cache County got its name from a french word that means to hide. Many trappers hid their furs there, some of the trappers that visited Cache County were Jim Bridger, James Beckworth, Peter S.Ogden, and James Weber. Mormons began to settle in Cache County in 1855 when a man named Bryant Stringham organized a group that drove cattle down into the valley, but they had to return to the valley later that year. Cache County was permanently settled in 1856.
When we got to North Logan there was a sign that said Welcome to North Logan on the side of the road. While we were at Logan,we explored the Utah State University area, went to a wonderful play at Eccels Opera House, took some beautiful pictures of the Logan Temple, and bought cookies and crackers at Pepperidge Farms. We also rode the sled at Hardware Ranch and looked at the elk. There was alot of farm land in Cache County. I can't wait to visit again!
