Pattinson's World Tour 2008-2009 travel blog

A taxi to the coach station and a long coach ride on what must have been one of Malaysia's oldest coaches (reaching dizzying speeds of upto 20Kph up hill) and we arrived 8 hours later in the Cameron Highlands. The scenery on our laborious journey kept spirits up as we trudged around the winding roads up to an altitude of around 1800m. There was little to do apart from eat by the time we arrived and so we walked to town to have Hot Pot (not the sort I am used to as a Northerner more a Chinese Fondue would be a better description). Cameron Highlands was an unusual place set amongst the Rainforest yet in places the hills had been turned over to rows and rows of tea plantations oh and the odd golf course! The architecture looked to be colonial and I was surprised to see (mock?) Tudor houses.
