Good Evening Everyone,
We have been busy, busy, busy.
This past week we have been staying at Dunedin RV Park. Dunedin's claim to fame...is home of the T.V. rating company Nielsen, as well as the creator of concentrated orange juice.
The kids got here on Sat. and are having a great time. Soon after they arrived we went to Honeymoon Beach in Dunedin. The girls went swimming in the ocean, and searched for shells.
Yesterday (Sunday) it was off to Homosassa Springs, to see manatees, otters, alligators and many native Floridian critters, and some that are not so native, like Lucifer the Hippo.
This park was once privately owned, and was a place for animal actors to be kept in between films. Some of the animals that were performing at that time was the dolphin flipper, Clarence the cross eyed lion, and Lucifer the hippo that performed in Daktari. When the filming ended the other animals were easily placed, but because of Lucifer's mean disposition no one wanted to adopt him. The county eventually bought the park and decided to give Lucifer a home for life. He is now forty nine years old, and still mean as ever.
We broke camp at Dunedin this morning, and are now staying at Fort DeSoto in St. Petersburg for the next two weeks. We have already been to the beach to check it out while we were there we watched the day end with a beautiful sunset.
We hope that you are all well.
Lots of Love
Jack, Lorraine, Steve, Jenn, Mariana & Elena
