Indonesia and India travel blog

Only practical way to get from Hampi down to Kerala, was to go via Bangalore again. With the company of another girl, Emily, who I am travelling to Cochin with, we made it our mission to enjoy the day. Second time round in Bangalore and having been in India a little while now I am ready to face the chaos again, and this time round really appreciated and enjoyed spending a day here.

Spent a morning jst walking round the city, breathing in the smoke and smog. We fancied the idea of reading the newspaper in the park, so set off for about 2km in search of Cubbon Park. Not quite the oasis of calm we had hoped for, but the best we could manage in a big city like this.

Best way to kill time between trains is to catch a movie. So many cinemas in Bangalore. Each state in India produces it's own films and it is big, big business. The cinemas here are all glitzy with gold facades and towering posters, promoting the latest blockbuster or hunk. "Jolly Days" was our film of choice. A 3 hour long epic following the lives of 6 ollege students finding their way in the world, with a bit of romance, heartache and some damn good song and dance along the way. Superb!
