We pulled up to Rarotonga at about 7:30 am and we were getting ready for our Glass bottom boat tour with snorkleing. It was dreary looking outside, but we knew the tender was launching. Then the rain started and the wind picked up and the tender was returning to the ship. The Captian came on and reported that the swell in the harbor was 2 meters (about 6 feet) and that it was not safe to have tender operations so he was reloading the tender and heading for Aukland, New Zeland. So I guess we will be at Sea for 6 days straight, our longest yet. I took advantage of the found time and started my digital Storybook of our trip. Eight pages done now. Oh yeah I forgot to mention in my last entry that the Captain invited us for dinner last night. He is really nice, one of the youngest Captains in the fleet (late 40s) married to an American woman and lives in Philadelphia when not at Sea. He gave John Lucas an open invitation to the Bridge and told him to just go up to deck 8 and knock on the door and tell them he is Capt. Lubrano's special guest. He also hinted at a possible ping pong match as he has his own ping pong table at home. Capt. Lubrano will be leaving the Ship in Sydney for his 2 month vacation and the birth of his 2nd child.
