Makarska, old part of town
| Hello Makarska is a nice quiet place at the moment, although we think it could be quite hectic during the summer peak. We are spending our time walking and not doing anything much as we are winding down ready to return home. Our main walk took in some semi-deserted villages above Makarska. Most of these villages lost population because of migration to places like Australia and the US during the 20th century. Many of the older houses are now being renovated to be used as holiday homes or tourist accommodation. Bye for now M&A |
