Pride Trivia Contest, thanks to Sherman Oaks (Steve) CLOSED, we have a winner, # 3 is still available to be answered for a drink on board compliments of Steve.
Let’s liven it up a bit with a cruise ship challenge. Answer my five silly questions and win a prize outta me own pocket. All except the alternate question pertains to the Pride. The questions were based on my observations on the Carnival Pride sailed 03-23-08.
Example: When exiting the Mermaid’s grille going aft and before the sliding doors, there is a LED sign that says “Poseidon’s bar – Children’s pool” But when you get out there, the signs state “adults only” on the pool and spa. So the crumb-crunchers get an ice cream and wander elsewhere. That’s how stupid these questions are.
IF I have to award the prize (and I hope) I’ll be a happy guy.
Rules:
Cheating is encouraged.
You must be booked on this cruise (Carnival Pride March 22, 2009 repositioning cruise to Miami Beach) and be on-board to get your prize. No substitutions.
This is my contest only and has absolutely no connection this or to any other message board or company. By participating you may make no claim against me, Carnival, Inc. or anyone else living or dead or represented on any television show.
Send your guesses to cruise@expressivelaser.com.
If you don’t want to give up your email address, make up a yahoo or gmail or other such account! Answer as often as you like, as I will give no additional clues AND will not tell you correct answers unless you are correct with all five of your answers… Use return receipt request so that you know I saw you guess.
If someone answers the questions prior to the cruise I’ll announce it here.
Be certain to use your screen name when you guess!
I am the final judge of correct answers!
Again cheating for the answers is encouraged.
If the questions are not answered prior to sailing I’ll post info on how to get in touch with me on board! The contest is open throughout the cruise.
Prize is:
Dinner for two at David’s supper club (additional tips or alcohol not included)
Here are the questions:
1. There are many of these on board but these six are very different.
2. We had thirteen of these, more than most other passengers.
3. There is something profane on board, correctly identify it.
4. I did this in three minutes, in public. I’m not ashamed because my wife did it in three minutes too.
5. To get to this destination you must cross your path three times
Finally, an alternate tough trivia question you may substitute for any one of the above:
6. This classic movie (1960s) had many actors who appeared in television comedies, and also in this movie. One person in particular starred in a television sitcom, had another sitcom based on his original, and also appeared in this movie. I’ll call him “Mr. X”!
Here is where it gets confusing:
Actor A co-starred with “Mr. X” in the original series, then in the later series based on the original sitcom. Sort of like how the animated Flintstones were similar the show ‘The Honeymooners”. He did not appear in this classic movie.
Actor B was in this movie and also played in the spin-off noted in clue #1.
Actor C was also in this movie and plays the lead character in the spin-off noted in clue #1 based on Mr. X’s original character. WAAAAHHH! My brain hurts! Additionally, he was a spokesperson for a brand of candy.
So putting your clues and association together…. name for me ‘Mr. X’ and either A,B or C to use this as an answer…
