Toby-Sue Trip to the Gulf of Mexico 09-10 travel blog

Last weekend, we went back up to Sues cousins home. Dave is a remote control airplane pilot, and when we were there before he told us there was a show in Feb.

Dennis and Marilyn, along with Candy, Abby and Murphy went with us. Dennis was a commercial pilot, and we thought they would enjoy it. I wish we would have known how cool it was going to be! The only thing that would have made it better, is that Sue would have felt better. Even not feeling well, I think she really enjoyed it.

The jets are so realistic, unless you have something in the background to compare them to, you would never know they weren't real. And the pilots, HOLY COW. They really know their stuff. They need a special license to fly them. I can see why. We did see a few crashes (which always makes it interesting, especially when no one is hurt). A great day, all in all.

On the way there we stopped and looked a motorhomes One of our favorite past times. Dennis and Marilyn found one they really liked, and actually stopped on the way home and bought one. Not the same one, but beautiful! If you are in the market for one, now is the time. They are selling for a fraction of what it would have cost a year ago. We went back on Sun. and drove many nice units, then went home and appreciated what we have. We love it. We just like to look.

On a sad note, we lost my sister-in-law Jean over the weekend. She will be greatly missed. Please say a prayer for her family.

Until next time, happy trails.
