New Orleans. Devestating to drive through. For miles along the e-way you can see houses, apartment complexes etc still in shambles. Many new ones have been built across or beside them. If you visit the French Quarter it's definitely more than one day. We did get to have beignets at DeMonde's and tried a muffalate and a po boy sandwich. Walked Bourbon St, Jackson Square and up and down Decatur Street. We walked along the moon walk on the Mississippi River. Next time we hope to do the riverwalk, take an extended carriage ride and make it across the river by Ferry to Mardi Gras World. Maybe even ride the Natchez Queen for a cruise. It was great to really see it but the experience on Bourbon Street needs to be at night I'm sure. Today we visited Thibodaux for supplies. Tomorrow we leave for Livingston TX to visit the newly weds---Ray and Cindy. I believe I'll have wifi so I can keep in touch. If not, until then good health to all. Penny & Mel
