Well we are still in Vienna and leave on a night train to Venice in a few hours. For those of you who are keeping a close eye on the itinerary, you are probably wondering why we are still in Vienna. We decided to stay an extra night due to our missed train in Prague, our day long excursion on the grape tour, etc.. We will be in Venice for one night and then off to Rome as originally scheduled.
Yesterday we went to the Schonbrun palace which is a huge complex with some gardens, living quarters and lot of stuff to look at. We did a tour there and then came back and went to an Opera, Don Giovanni, last night. The entire thing was in German so we didn't understand a single word (not that you can understand operas anyways), but we had a synopsis that told us the gist of the story. Irregardless, the music and singing were good and it was a good night, got a little Vienna culture.
Today it has been raining all day, but we walked around anyways seeing the remianing parts of the city we didn't see the first day. I don't think we will have internet access in Venice tomorrow, so another update probably won't come until Rome.
