We are meeting many nice people on board the ship. We´ve met 2 couples from San Diego, one of whom had their house destroyed in Julian by the 2003 fires and is rebuilding. We have also met 3 people from Brentwood who we´ve spent a lot of time with;Tamara, Marty and Fleur. Tamara is the electrolician to the stars. They are very nice and fun. We met a nice lady from Canada at dinner the other night and it turns out that she has the Manpower franchises in Canada and know Mel & Linda Katz (owners of the Manpower franchises in the US), friends of ours from philanthropy circles. Small world. She and Norm have A LOT in common: She is a political and news junkie and loves to read. It was like Norm had met his long lost twin! We have also met lots of retired airline pilots. One lady, Sandy, who plays bridge with me, travels without her retired pilot husband, bcause he hates to travel. So, she is here with a friend. Sandy lives in Florida in one of those fly-in communities and loves it. Before that, she lived in Rancho Santa Fe. People ae generally very nice and we are enjoying our social life. I have developed a cold, which is not so fun, but hopefully I will be feeling better soon.
