Liam and I went for a one and half hour walk into the main streets and back. We noticed the temperature reading at 7.30am was 39 degrees and we had not even made it half way. We returned had breakfast and then Liam and Rhiannon had to complete their diaries....trying to get them to write neatly is like pulling teeth!!!

Finally, that was done so we headed to the water to cool down the kids collected shells, jumped off the jetty and walked on water???(See the photos!!)

We only had to leave as Rhiannon missed judged her jump and scraped both legs and cut her chin!!! Of course it was only minor but if you could have heard her you would think we should have called the flying doctors!!!

Once she showered and I applied paw paw ointment to the affected areas she was ready to do homework or so I thought!!!

Liam and Rhiannon did their homework whilst the younger two tried to sleep with airconditioner on. It rose to 42 degrees...our first hot day...

At three thirty we drove to the tourist bureau and the shark museum(photography is not allowed). We saw an exact replica of the largest shark that was found in South Australia. Sadly, it had been feeding of the snapper that was being fished of the shore as it had an infection in its jaw due to a barb from a stingray. It drowned as the fishing lines had stopped her swimming up. The shark was 23 years old(it is known due to the number of rings in its spine (like a tree)) The lady who showed us around the display gave so much interesting information it was well worth the $15 to see it.

We then had twin choc bars, a SA icecream.

After buying dresses for Rhiannon we went back to the caravan to waste a bit of time before going to dinner.

We walked (Sean did not realise the distance so had to go back later, whilst we ate dessert, to get the car) to Barnacle Bills, a seafood franchise family style restaurant (if you can call it that!!!). It was great as it made what the kids like ....fish, squid rings, prawn cutlets and chips!!! We could also get a rather decent salad.

I had a horrid headache....heat and sun do not agree with me so I went back to caravan and had some panadol whilst Sean took the four to the playground.

It was now 37 degrees and we tried our best to keep cool and the airconditioner struggled so looking forward to hotter weather NOT!!!
