We left Whyalla at 10am happy to leave the caravan park ....though the town itself was lovely for an industrial one.
The drive again was like crossing the Nullarbor but at least the Flinders Ranges were in front!!! We asked the kids which of all the place we have been to which have they enjoyed/found the best first with no hesitation is Jenny and Mark's (gee we could have saved a lot of time and money and just spent a month there!!!) and second was Albany...with Denmark and Esperance a close third!!!
Rhiannon has mastered a puzzle and keeps asking everyone to shuffle it so she can solve it, faster each time!!!
Liam felt sick...sore tummy!!
Sara and Miranda slept the two and a half hours drive.
Have just received an email to inform me that Allison (Oliver's Mum) was born here and her Mum was born in Streaky Bay ....Liam got a buzz out of that!!!
We arrived in Port Pirie and were amazed at the difference and Sean could not believe the main street in the town. It is larger and the shops are more varied than Albany.
We booked into the Port Pirie Caravan Park. Our site has shade and is a drive thru so no reversing for me!!! Lucky for the shade as the temperature today is 36 and tomorrow is meant to be 41.
After unpacking, washing clothes etc the kids did homework and the younger two had a nap.
They have just woken so Sean has taken all four to the beach .. five minute walk from our site. I am about to start dinner potato and egg curry as can not be bothered going into the shops to get meat...lazy huh!!!
