Fall 2008 - Winter 2009 travel blog

Today we awoke with a sense of excitement as this was the day we would reach one of the major points of interest for us, San Francisco, California. We were on the road prior to 8:00 am. The road was a quit winding at the start but it soon became a divided highway which made the rest of the drive much more relaxing. We arrived at our destination of Novato RV Park around 12:00pm. Novato is located about 25 miles north of San Francisco. There are no RV Parks within the San Francisco city limits so this was as close as we could get staying in our RV. After setting up camp we made a trip into the City of Novato to refresh some of our supplies and did some planning to get ready for our first trip into the SF the next day.
